Make Sure That Your Skin Is Clean Before Sleep

Have you ever gotten out of bed to find a black smear on your pillow? For decades, Asian women have utilized the two-step, or double-cleansing procedure to get perfectly clear skin before night. This procedure has spread like wildfire to the West in recent years, and ladies like the result. I recently included this approach into my skincare routine and am quite pleased with the results: Skin that is cleaner and clearer.

Regular water-based cleaners are often insufficient to penetrate oil on their own. Cleansing oils, on the other hand, bind to the oil-based waste on your skin—makeup, and sebum—and emulsify it so you can rinse it away. What makes cleaning oils different from ordinary EVOO in the kitchen? These formulations are hydrophilic, which means they dissolve and wash away with water, providing the moisturizing and clarifying benefits of oil without the filmy residue.

Are you unsure how to utilize cleaning oils? It's simple. One teaspoon of oil should be pumped and rubbed between your palms. Apply the oil in circular strokes on dry skin. Don't worry, your face should now resemble a grease pit—you're doing everything perfectly. Make careful to massage the eye region gently and remove all makeup. After approximately a minute, moisten your hands with lukewarm water and rinse off the oil, which will have turned milky. After you've eliminated all of the dirt, wash your face with a light cleanser for a squeaky-clean finish. If you have sensitive skin, begin with double-cleansing twice a week and gradually increase the frequency to acclimate your skin to this new regimen. Some washing oils include mineral oil or other possible plant allergies, whereas others do not. Conduct research and try numerous formulations to locate one that works well for your skin.
