Luxury Skin-care, Is It Always Good?

(source: Pinterest)

Buying a luxury product is satisfaction for the buyers. Not just clothes, shoes, or bags, but now luxury brands have launched their skin-care that everyone knows is a luxury skin-care. But, so many people that still confused about the quality. They said if it was worth the price to buy luxury skincare. Are luxury skincare have specific differences from common skin care?

According to esthetician Stephen Alan Coe, all ingredients affect the cost of beauty products. For example, the source, purity, and manufacturing difficulty of a particular ingredient. Take green tea extract for example. “Green tea extract is a fairly common ingredient, but the purity of the ingredient can make a big difference in raw material costs,” he says. That may be one of the reasons why it turns out that it only costs you $20 to make a $320 sea cream jar. Rare and sustainably sourced seaweed, no more seaweed. You can find it in cheaper products. (Of course, branding may also be involved in this extreme case.)

But does this mean that high-end skincare is always worthwhile? Absolutely not. Because the cosmetics business is not regulated by the FDA, no one checks to guarantee that all of the sophisticated ingredients and complicated formulas in luxury skincare products are beneficial for your skin. "It's tough for buyers to determine [an item's purity]," Ko says. "Highly refined green tea extract for EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate), a strong antioxidant, can yet appear on the same [ingredients] list as green tea."

The conclusion is luxury skincare isn't always good or bad, it depends on who used that product. Because human skin types aren't the same. So many various skin types, so feel free to choose the skincare that suits your skin. XOXO!
